Weekend Suitcase

Have you ever felt the need to take a vacation without your children? Since we are immigrants, my husband and I yearn for taking a few days off alone. Living away from grandparents and uncles who offer a hand once in a while, our annual vacation together is something to look forward to all year long.

Ready, Set, Go!

To finally take a vacation alone we have to coordinate many things. Both agendas must be free of work commitments. Caregiver's availability has to concur with a weekend free sports tournaments or ballet presentations. The destination should be close to going for a weekend and far enough to feel like a vacation. Finally, with so many details to arrange, when the time comes to pack it is only 30 minutes before leaving to the airport.

With so little time to pack, you have to take the best decisions!

This selection is very versatile. Without packing all your closet, there is an outfit for every moment of the trip. Be a sightseeing tour, a day at the beach or the long-awaited romantic dinner I will have an outfit ready, and all these pieces fit quickly into a small suitcase.

 

Now that the kids are back in school, and there is still some days of summer, it is an excellent time to make a weekend suitcase and plan a getaway.
